Abstract
► We investigated the role of viscoelasticity on the gravure printing process. ► We show elasticity can have a large impact of amount of fluid removed from a gravure cell. ► We show gravity and inertia can play a large role on fluid removal. ► We show that the aspect ratio of the gravure cell can impact fluid removal during printing.
