Abstract
The aim of this study is to produce composite materials using PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles and marble dust. In this way, the pollution caused by these wastes will be reduced and the low cost, nonflammability and high mechanical features of marble dust will be united with the properties of PET and a new material with higher properties but lower cost will be produced. For this purpose, particles obtained from PET wastes are mixed in a screwed extruder with marble dust and composite material is produced, and its impact on the mechanical, thermal and morphological features of this material is examined.
