Abstract
The kinetics of initial stages of the liquid-phase oxidation of cyclooctene by molecular oxygen catalyzed by VB2 has been reported for the first time. The reaction rate was depended on cyclooctene concentration with less than first order. The kinetic model of oxidation process has been proposed. The equation for the reaction rate which quantitively describe the obtained experimantal dependences has been evaluated from this model.
