Abstract
- TiO2@ZrO2@Y2O3:Eu3+ particles were synthesized via layer-by-layer self-assembly and sol-gel process.
- 14Â nm thick ZrO2 layer can obstruct effectively the reaction of TiO2 core and Y2O3 shell.
- TiO2@ZrO2@Y2O3:Eu3+ particles annealed at 1000 °C exhibited strong red emission at 611 nm.
