Abstract
► NiS flower-like architectures were synthesized in the presence of SCN− anions and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide. ► Diffusion-limited aggregation model and cage effect were used to explain the formation process. ► As-obtained NiS flower-like architectures possess weak ferromagnetic interactions.
