Abstract
To simulate an entire process with solids processing on the basis of multiscale approach, flowsheet simulation is performed at macroscale with the help of the SolidSim system which allows simulation of stationary behavior of complex processes dealing with solids and its extension towards dynamic modeling. Parameters for the macromodels are predicted by physically based microscale simulation with the models at the two scales coupled by inter-scale communication laws.
