Abstract
⺠This study analyzed the structural behavior of underground GRP pipes. ⺠Assumptions of earth pressure distribution and theories of mechanics were used for analyses. ⺠A safety evaluation method was proposed considering fracture characteristics of GRP pipe wall materials. ⺠This study proposed methods to determine an optimum pipe wall thickness and total bending moment.
