Abstract
- We created a simplified dynamic model of radiant slab system for implementation in MPC.
- A calibrated model of a case study building was developed for testing controllers performance.
- The performance of the MPC was compared with a heuristic control method.
- MPC reduced the cooling tower consumption by 55% and pumping power by 25%.
- MPC maintained thermal comfort at EN 15251 Category II 95% of the occupied hours.
