Abstract

- Developed design charts for chilled ceiling displacement ventilation (CC/DV).
- Charts can be used when CC/DV is aided with personal evaporative coolers, PEC.
- The sizing of the CC/DV-PEC system is simplified and indicates thermal comfort.
- Adding PEC resulted in acceptable thermal comfort at DV supply of up to 26 °C.
- The CC/DV peak heat removal is reduced by 17%.
