Abstract
- Stability limits of bulk and γ-Al2O3-supported [BMIM]+-based ILs are determined.
- Limits increase with decreasing inter-ionic interaction energy probed by ν(C2H).
- Interaction between γ-Al2O3 and ILs gets stronger as inter-ionic interactions weaken.
- Stability limits deviate more from bulk values as γ-Al2O3 interacts more with ILs.
