Cluster analysis of simulated energy use for LEED certified U.S. office buildings

- Analyzed LEED certified office buildings to classify them based on their energy use.
- Identified three clusters of office buildings by their energy use intensities.
- Outlined unique features for each of the three clusters.
- Found that the three clusters have EUI in a range of approximately 75 to 250 kWh/m2.
- Determined that internal loads contribute approximately 50% to the total energy use.
