Abstract
- Poly(butylenes terephthalate) (PBT) composites containing calcium carbonate, talc and wollastonite were prepared.
- Nonisothermal crystallization kinetics and melting behavior of these composites has been accessed for first time.
- Crystallization kinetics analyzed using various macrokinetic models (modified Avrami, Ozawa, Liu and Mo)
- Calcium carbonate and wollastonite accelerated the crystallization rate of polymer.
- Talc acted as an effective nucleating agent and promoted formation of large crystallites.
