Abstract
⸠A new model was derived to predict HVAC filter energy use and annual cost. ⸠The model includes mass collection over time and associated filter parameter changes. ⸠Operation life to minimum cost was found to differ from manufacturers suggested life. ⸠Optimum filtration solution depends on electricity cost and particle concentration.
