Abstract
⺠Degradation of diethyl aluminium phosphinate and aluminium trihydroxyde was studied. ⺠The degradation pathway of AlPi is modified when mixed with ATH. ⺠Chemisorption of the phosphinate on the alumina resulting from ATH occurs. ⺠Formation of aluminophosphonate is prevented whereas phosphonic acid is released.
