Abstract
- Steel fibers improve the deformation capacity of HSC columns under cyclic loading.
- Minimum shear reinforcement is required to improve effectiveness of steel fibers.
- SFRHSC columns ensures ductility values similar to NSC columns without fibers.
- EC-8 (2004) is on the unsafe side for low axial levels.
- EC-8 (2004) predictions are conservative in HSC columns with steel fibers.
