Abstract
⺠We synthesize and characterize two types of rare earth hypophosphite (REHP). ⺠REHP and melamine cyanurate are used as flame retardants. ⺠We prepare fire retarded glass-fiber/poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate) composites. ⺠The flammability of these composites is significantly reduced.
