Abstract
⺠In this study we work with five different biomass samples, including a seaweed species. ⺠Pyrolysis and combustion is studied in thermobalance at different heating rates. ⺠A model for thermal decomposition is proposed and optimized. ⺠The model is able to explain pyrolysis and combustion with the same set of kinetic constants for all five samples studied.
