Abstract
The dual-polarizer is mainly used in electron cyclotron resonant heating (ECRH) systems to obtain the desired polarization of the ECRH output beam. A dual-polarizer has been designed and manufactured for ECRH systems on the HL-2Â M tokamak, Using a directional coupler incorporated in the transmission line, the polarization properties have been tested on site with EC power at 0.67Â MW in 30Â ms. The test results show good agreement with theoretical calculation, which can meet the requirement for arbitrary polarization of the electron cyclotron wave.
