Abstract
⺠The trim coil system will fine tune the main magnetic field during plasma operation by reducing the magnetic field errors. ⺠The coil design and operational parameters are fixed, the manufacturing is running. ⺠The coils are equipped with temperature sensors and a voltage tap system to monitor the coil temperature. ⺠The max. operational deflection is in the order of 4.5 mm; the max. shearing stress across bond planes is of order 16 MPa. ⺠Special clamps equipped with elastomeric pads allow fixing the coils on the outer cryostat wall.
