Abstract
⺠In W-7X there are several types of handmade electrical insulation. ⺠In general insulation based on impregnated glass tapes and special G10 pieces. ⺠A proper overlapping of glass tapes turned out to be mandatory. ⺠Detailed qualification and training helps to minimize the failure rate. ⺠Visual inspection and Paschen tests after every insulation steps are important.
