Abstract
This work analyzed the thermodynamic properties and phase diagram of the CsBr-TbBr3 system using the CALPHAD method. The phase diagram of the CsBr-TbBr3 system, the thermodynamic properties of the Cs3TbBr6 compound and the enthalpies of mixing of the CsBr-TbBr3 liquid at 1113Â K are calculated. Comparison of calculated phase diagram and thermodynamic values with corresponding experimental data demonstrated that the present calculations based on the optimized parameters reproduce experimental data very well.
