Abstract
The use of concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns and reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall mixed structures has attracted the interest of structural engineers. The connection between the composite columns, the shear-wall edge members and concrete wall are critical. The connection behavior at the interface of the different elements has been a major subject of this study. Therefore, ten specimens were tested to investigate the force-slip behavior between a CFST column and an RC shear wall. Also a simplified model (two models: model with nonlinear springs, simple truss model) for predicting the force-slip relation based on experimental and numerical studies was presented.
