Abstract
To increase diagnostic ability of the frequency-shifted bispectrum for bearing faults, firstly, the frequency resolution is increased in the frequency-shifted bispectrum analysis through band pass filtering and frequency zooming; secondly, integration of the frequency-shifted bispectrum along one frequency variable is used to produce a one-dimensional spectral representation. Numerical simulation and experimental results show the feasibility of the proposed method for qualitatively and quantitatively diagnosing bearing faults.
