Abstract
Filtered containment venting system (FCVS) has been developed since 2014 in Korea, and an integration performance verification test has been performed at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The experimental facility was named ARIEL: Aerosol Removal & Iodine Elimination (ARIEL). The ARIEL facility is composed of four major parts; venturi scrubber, cyclone, metal fiber filter (MFF), and molecular sieve (MS). In addition, a generation and sampling system of aerosol and iodine were equipped to the system. In this study, the current status of the FCVS experimental facility in KAERI is introduced along with a description of the aerosol generation and sampling system. Aerosol removal test results, performed 7â¯bar abs. with non-condensable gas, is also presented. The analysis of the results was conducted with filter and aerosol measurement equipment, and is included in the study.
