Abstract
- We derive a 1-D single phase fluid model from the steady state transport equations.
- We compare the new model against a model used in industry to calculate leak rates.
- Two phase fluid models are presented, one based on Henry-Faukse, the other is a linear system of equations solved with a flow-impossible flow procedure.
- There is a reduction in leak rate due when heat transfer to the structure is included.
- There is a reduction in leak rate when crack path effects are included.
