Abstract
ZnO nanopowder has been applied for the efficient synthesis of substituted 2,4,6-triaryl pyridines through the reaction of acetophenones, benzaldehydes and ammonium acetate in good to excellent yields. The net result is a powerful strategy for the synthesis of substituted pyridine scaffolds.
