Abstract
A large scale test facility design simulating a pool type sodium fast reactor was carried out on the basis of rigorous scaling approach with a plan of its installation by 2016. In particular, a similarity in heat transfer between solid and fluid were intensively discussed together with the distortion, and viable design parameters were derived. A 1-dimensional verification calculation was also conducted and showed good agreement for the important parameters. This scaling approach in this study is expected to be used in the exact reproduction of heat transfer between fluid and solid in a single phase fluid system.
