Abstract
Waste jute has been investigated as an alternative feedstock for the generation of liquid and gaseous fuel through non – catalytic pyrolysis in a fixed bed reactor. Kinetic parameters for the pyrolysis of jute wastes have been determined in the temperature range of 400 – 900oC. A fixed bed reactor model has been developed using the kinetic parameters determined during the present study and the literature data on secondary tar cracking reaction.
