Geothermal energy zones in the basin constrained by the base of sedimentary fill. 1. - 10-40 °C: low enthalpy-marginal economics heating potential with use of heat pumps mainly, 2. - 40-60 °C: low enthalpy geothermal heating with marginal economics, 3. - 60-80 °C: economical geothermal heating potential, 4. - 80-100 °C: economical geothermal heating and marginal EGS electrical, 5 - 100-140 °C: highly economical geothermal heating and economical EGS electrical, 6. - >140 °C: highly economical EHS electrical and geothermal heating.
