Abstract
⺠We develop a stochastic budgeting model to capture uncertainty in key variables. ⺠Farmers with higher levels of risk aversion would be unwilling to invest in biomass crops. ⺠Miscanthus has a greater probability of making a profit than willow. ⺠Bioremediation can help to offset the impact of risk on biomass investments.
