Abstract
⺠Feasibility of anaerobic digestion of crops without manure was studied in lab scale. ⺠Nutrient addition is a prerequisite in the production of methane from energy crops. ⺠Nutrient addition led to high methane yields and stable operation. ⺠Long hydraulic retention time is a not precondition for high methane yield from crops. ⺠Both macro- and micronutrients served the same stabilising effect as manure.
