Abstract
Through the ecocity concept and the construction of environmental systems, recommendations for transforming the Wulai District into a major tourist attraction are provided in this study. The recommendations include reconstructing landscapes and developing tourism, fulfilling tourist demands, fulfilling the living space requirements of the local residents, reducing the influences associated with tourist development, fulfilling pedestrian, transportation, and parking requirements, integrating local open spaces through systematic and quality planning, preserving and maintaining local historical landscapes, constructing exceptional streets and urban landscapes, and linking neighboring attractions to effectively integrate tourism resources.
