Abstract
⺠Numerical study of a class of axisymmetric thin-walled square (ATS) tubes under oblique impact. ⺠Multi-cell tapered (MCT) ATS tube is found the best under oblique impact. ⺠Parametric studies on the crash behavior of the MCT tube under oblique impact. ⺠A new approach to include load angle uncertainty in crashworthiness optimization. ⺠Multiobjective optimization of the MCT tubes both with and without load angle uncertainty.
