Abstract
⺠The welding process of high strength steel plate-to-plate welded joints is studied. ⺠The welding process is modeled by a sequentially coupled thermal-stress analysis. ⺠The residual stress distribution is studied by using numerical modeling. ⺠Accuracy of the numerical model is validated by comparing with test results. ⺠A parametric study is carried out to investigate the effect of key welding parameters.
