Abstract
⺠Longer drives offer more flexibility in urban, wetlands, and environmental areas. ⺠Review of state-of-the-art machine technology is provided. ⺠Drive distance is affected by penetration resistance, pipe characteristics, specialized techniques, and equipment limitations. ⺠Long drives also increase the applicability of trenchless technology. ⺠Automated systems based on fuzzy logic improve production and maintain quality.
