Abstract
Psychological trauma brought on by traumatic events reach as far back in time as violence in nature and in humanity. In this interview with Louis Crocq, the history of psychotraumatology is discussed. Dr Crocq is a military-grade General, military psychiatrist, honorary professor at the René Descartes University of Paris and an associate member of the psycho-legal institute at Cadillac hospital; he is an authority on traumatic neurosis and war neurosis. Some decades ago, the evaluation and psychological treatment of victims was barely developed, but now it has become a widely accepted practice.
