Abstract
⺠Patients with depression have multiple explanatory models for their symptoms. ⺠The most common explanations for depression include Karma-deed-heredity (77.4%), followed by psychological explanations (62.2%), general and nerve related weakness (50%) and social causes (40.2%). ⺠Sociodemographic factors do not have much influence on the explanatory models.
