âºWe studied hormone secretion in males that change their reproductive tactic. âºWe collected field data over 6 years, studying striped mice in Africa. âºWe measured the hormones prolactin, corticosterone and testosterone. âºThe entire hormonal profile of males changed as they switched tactics. âºChanges in hormone secretion regulate alternative reproductive tactics.
