Abstract
►Proactive females produce larger eggs, resulting in larvae with larger yolk reserves compared to reactive females. ►A relationship exists between mother plasma cortisol content and egg cortisol content. ►No difference in larval development was detected between offspring produced by proactive and reactive females.
