Abstract
► Catalyzed modified clean fractionation of switchgrass was evaluated and optimized. ► Catalyzed modified clean fractionation resulted in high lignin and glucose recoveries. ► Recovered lignin contained low ash and high Klason lignin content. ► Obtained cellulose was highly fermentable.
