Abstract
⺠A laccase gene was cloned in multiple integrations into the genome of Yarrowia lipolytica. ⺠Directed evolution enables to isolate one variant with fourfold activity improvement. ⺠Laccase variant catalyzes an almost complete decolorization of an amaranth solution.
