Abstract
⺠Dissolved oxygen has been found to play a key role in bioprocess efficiency. ⺠Increase in agitation rate improved growth of Pseudomonas taetrolens. ⺠Lactobionic acid production from whey was negatively affected by high aeration rates. ⺠High oxygen supply conditions increased pH-shift values and oxygen consumption. ⺠Short oxygen-limited period improved performance under high-cell density conditions.
