Abstract
► Hydrothermal treatment was more suitable to convert the lignocellulose. ► A lower Ea was obtained in higher temperature range for hydrothermal treatment. ► Both cellulose and hemicellulose could decompose in higher temperature range for hydrothermal treatment. ► Even in higher temperature range, only hemicellulose decomposed. ► Kinetics of pyrolytic and hydrothermal decomposition of water hyacinth were test.
