Abstract
Despite its low incidence, GCSE in TBI patients was associated with worse outcomes with threefold higher in-hospital mortality, prolonged hospitalization, higher hospital charges, and worse discharge disposition. Surprisingly, epilepsy is a negative predictor of GCSE in this population.
