Abstract
⺠Overview of available control strategies for dividing-wall columns. ⺠Degrees of freedom analysis for DWC. ⺠Three/four-point control structures. ⺠Linear model predictive control (MPC). ⺠Advanced control strategies (LQG, LSDP, H-infinity and mu-synthesis). ⺠LSV and DSV are the best PID control structures. ⺠MIMO controllers perform better than multi-loop PID controllers. ⺠DWC has good controllability when an appropriate control structure is selected.
