The molecular shape and the field similarities as criteria to interpret SAR studies for fragment-based design of platinum(IV) anticancer agents. Correlation of physicochemical properties with cytotoxicity

Qualitative SAR studies were carried out on platinum(IV) complexes and their free carrier ligands, on the basis of their shape and field similarities. Important results were found after the correlation of their biological activity with the molecular structure and the chemical, physical and biochemical properties of these compounds.
