Abstract
Under action of rotating magnetic field the bubble size distribution in a novel type column were studied. In this contribution the influence of operating conditions and physical properties of liquid continuous phase on dispersed phase is discussed. Specifically, the Sauter mean bubble diameter is determined as a function of the dimensionless Morton and Hartman numbers. Finally, the specific non-dimensional parameter describing the ratio between the Sauter mean bubble diameters calculated for the BSD with and without the effect of magnetic field. Significant modifications of the BSDs were observed and analysed.
