Abstract
⺠The effect of H2 diffusion in the Pt catalyst layer on the overall H2 oxidation reaction rate was accounted for using the effectiveness factor. ⺠A theoretical description of the rotating thin-film method for the determination of the intrinsic exchange current density was presented. ⺠The corrected exchange current density of the Pt-black catalyst was thus determined to be 0.49 mA/cm2.
