Abstract
Reductive N-acylation of nitroarenes to anilides in moderate to good yields in the presence of carboxylic acid anhydrides using a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst, Fe3+-montmorillonite, prepared from inexpensive materials is achieved in a single pot.
