Abstract
► Use of castor oil as a bio-based polyol for urethane alkyd synthesis was investigated. ► The effect of the type of polyol on the properties of urethane alkyds was examined. ► Castor oil-based uralkyd dried much slower than glycerol-based or commercial ones. ► Properties of castor oil/jatropha oil uralkyd are comparable with a commercial one.
